Gwyneth Paltrow’s Childhood Home Lists For $3.195 Million

Gwyneth Paltrow’s childhood home has been listed for $3.195 million. Located in Brentwood, the East Coast traditional-style 3 bedroom, 2 and a half bathroom property is ultra-welcoming.

In a sea of open concept homes all over LA, this space’s closed floor plan provides a more homey feel, but its contemporary accents and furnishings keep it from feeling outdated. The two living rooms both feature fireplaces and french doors leading to the outdoor space. The expansive kitchen features glass-front cabinetry, a wood-topped island, and marble checkered floor, which continues into the living room off of the kitchen and is used in the primary bathroom as well. Its bay window alcoves are taken full advantage of, with a downstairs alcove containing a breakfast nook and the upstairs primary bathroom containing a built-in bathtub.

The home is well suited for hosting, thanks to its dining room and butler’s pantry, which contains a wine cooler, sink, and more cabinetry. The outdoors provide more space for entertaining, including a walkway up to a viewing deck with a view of the rest of Brentwood and plenty of room for seating to take it in.

While the space isn’t as modern as Paltrow’s tastes seem to lean nowadays (see the ultra-cool GOOP Santa Monica office that AD toured just last year), its influence on her decorating style is definitely evident. Take for example, her former Tribeca apartment, in which the actor and business woman skillfully blended modern accent pieces with the space’s more classical elements, like its grand fireplace and hand-embroidered wallpaper.
