Plans Announced for New Mixed-Use Development in Downtown Lafayette

(KADN) – A Lafayette real estate development company announced plans for a new mixed-use development in Downtown Lafayette that would be the biggest project in years.

Plans for the so-called “Seven-16 Lafayette Tower” invision a pair of 20-story tall buildings on the vacant lot on Lafayette Street next to the federal courthouse.

The buildings would be taller than the current tallest building in lafayette, the Chase Tower on Jefferson Street.

About the Architect, Forrest Daniell & Associates:

Forrest Daniell is a Principal of Forrest Daniell & Associates, P.C., an architectural firm in Daphne, Alabama. Mr. Daniell specializes in resort architecture, including high-rise condominiums, hotels, restaurants and retail.
Perhaps the best example of this unique design style is a high-rise condominium project in Orange Beach, Alabama, called Turquoise Place. The two luxury towers are the largest multi-family residential project in the state of Alabama, featured on the cover of several publications including Condo Owner Magazine, U.S. Glass, and U.S. Architecture.
Mr. Daniell is a licensed architect in 6 states including Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Florida and Wyoming. He received a Bachelor of Environmental Design from Texas A&M University in 1986 and a Master of Architecture from the University of Texas at Arlington in 1995. The son of Southern Baptist missionaries, Mr. Daniell grew up in Mexico City. He has been married to Emma for 33 years and together they have four children. He enjoys traveling, biking and camping with his family in his spare time.
